After my workout today, I was craving a nice raw dessert recipe – one that had been stewing about in my head for quite some time.
So I made it for you AND me, and it turned out just as delicious as I was hoping!
RAW DESSERT RECIPE: CHOCOLATE BANANA TOWER
This recipe is very easy.
For the sauce, blend 3 ripe bananas (the riper the better!) with 1 teaspoon or so of carob powder until it is smooth and creamy.
Then for the tower, slice a banana in half. Then take each half and slice it in thirds lengthwise so you have thin strips. Arrange them on a plate like in the video then top with sauce. Make two more layers of banana facing opposite directions, then top with more sauce. I did this one more time but you can make it as short or tall as you would like it!
I thought it would make a really cute activity with your children to have already made the sauce and cut up bananas into strips. Then let your children build their own towers. They could even “race” against each other to see who could build the tallest tower without it falling down!
Then of course the fun part, eating their huge towers!
This raw dessert recipe is so healthy you and your children could eat it for any meal of the day, all day long if you wanted!
