Everybody loves Rum (just ask Johnny Depp) and everybody loves to light things on fire. What happens when we put the two together with a touch of culinary magic? Classic Bananas Foster. This amazing and simple dessert recipe originated at Brenna’s Restaurant in New Orleans, so naturally, our chefs put the original recipe to the test against a recipe from southern chef Paula Deen. Both banana foster recipes are delicious, with the caramelized bananas, rum based bananas foster sauce, and melting vanilla ice cream. Whose will take the (bananas foster) cake?
