Recipe for Double Pistachio Cake
What You Need
• 1 package white cake mix
• 1 package pistachio instant pudding mix
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup water
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
• 1 container whipped topping 8 ounce
• 1 package pistachio instant pudding mix
How to Make It
Prepare a 9 x 13 inch baking pan by lightly applying cooking spray with a flour base or by greasing it lightly and then applying a light layer of flour over it and then set aside until needed.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Using a large mixing bowl and an electric mixer on a medium speed setting, you will add the white cake mix, 1 package pistachio instant pudding mix, the eggs, water, vegetable oil and the chopped nuts. Beat to blend together for about 2 or 3 more minutes.
Pour this cake batter into the prepared 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Place in the preheated oven to bake for about 30 or 35 minutes or until the cake is done.
Remove from oven and then allow the cake to completely cool before adding the frosting.
Make the pistachio frosting for the cake by adding the whipped topping and remaining package pistachio instant pudding mix together. Fold the pudding mix into the whipped topping until thoroughly blended. Spoon the frosting over the cake and then spread it evenly on the top and around the sides.
