Ingredients: (1 cup= 240 ml approx.)
•Whole milk- 640 ml (480 ml= 2 cups and 160 ml= 2/3 cup)
•Sugar- ½ cup
•Cocoa powder- 1/3 cup
•Corn starch/flour- ¼ cup
•Salt- ¼ tsp
•Egg- 1, large
•Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
How to make:
1.In a bowl add sugar, cocoa powder, corn flour and salt. Mix it together. So our dry ingredients are ready.
2.Take another bowl, add egg. Beat it with the help of a fork or whisk, then add milk (160 ml). Whisk it properly.
3.Now add milk-egg mixture to the dry ingredients gradually and mix it well until it dissolve. Our batter is ready, keep it aside.
4.In a pan, pour 2 cups of milk and bring it to boil.
5.Remove the pan from the heat and mix your prepared batter into the milk slowly while whisking continuously.
6.Now place your pan again over heat and cook for 3-4 minutes until it forms a thick consistency. You need to stir constantly to avoid formation of lumps.
7.Now remove it from heat and add vanilla essence, stir well.
8.Let it cool down for a while.
9.Then pour it in a serving bowl or glass, decorate it with nuts, chocolate chips etc as per your choice.
10.Place a cling or plastic wrap on the surface of serving bowl or glass and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until serving.
11.You can serve it warm in winter too. Enjoy.
